Positive media relations practices result in earning news stories that promote the University as a whole; expand the visibility of the Office of the President; and ensure that truthful information is reported to the public regarding incidents of a sensitive nature. Such media placements additionally help to attract prospective students, solicit continued financial and volunteer support, and maintain a positive reputation for La Salle locally in Philadelphia, regionally in the Northeast, and nationally. This guide is intended to define the approved processes for interacting with the news media. ââ¬Å"News mediaâ⬠refers to journalists and content creators for local, regional, and national newspapers, magazines, television and radio stations, and online publications.
